Lost Birmingham Pubs

Just wondering if anyone knows whether the Maltshovel on Coventry as mentioned being closed in this article was reopened or was the name just reused? As I see someone talking of having a wedding at the Maltshovel (Cnr of Coventry and Munze Rd ) in the 1950s. I am on the other side of the world, so completely unfamiliar with area. Have traced my family to Maltshovel- as retail brewers and Publucans in 1850-1860s. Curious to know if the building has survived or if the are any historical pictures of it.

Hello,
I am working in the area on a utility project the next time I am by Muntz Street / Cov Road junction I will get a couple of pics and post on this site.

Sign above Muntz Street says Colmore Works, the latest reference I can find to this is 1912, probably a ghost sign as it does look to be a 30/40s photograph.

I wondered if it was bomb damaged in WW2 Lyn as I vaguely remember seeing a photo of damage to ti's part of Spiceal Street. Can't find the photo at the moment.
