Loitering On The Egde

LOITERING ON THE EDGE

Doubful the prospects of success
I loiter on the edge of this abyss
Fortune passed me by full sail ahead
Weary, Weary I, where is my bed
In my dreams
I am master of my own destiny
to pick and choose
Who i should want to be
But nightmare as unreal as he may be
Covers me with his shadow
And will not let me see
But i am not and will not be lost
Empty maybe
Apart from my soul that lives within
And my spirit of adventure that cries out
Begin, begin
And so as i look down upon my moving feet
I see a clearer path that calls, 'move on,
Do not retreat'
With the abyss in the distance, gone
The will i find to carry on
