Is that definite as there seems to be a doubt that it is Spring Hill library. Thanks for your reply. This is a 1937 Daimler bus which was refurbished in the late 1950's lasting in service until 1960. It is seen here, in 1959, at the stop opposite Spring Hill library in Icknield Street heading towards Hockley
If the text with this photo is correct and Spring Hill / Dudley Rd is to the rear of the bus, then, shouldn't the library be on the right? or am I not understanding the written description, John.Gea
I have already answered this question with a guess that is is outside Spring Hill Library on another forum, as I said there I would try to find confirmation, well this photo should be able to do just that.

You are correct because if that was the library on the right of the bus, the Dudley Rd - Spring Hill junction could not be behind the bus, it would be immediately in front of the bus.If the text with this photo is correct and Spring Hill / Dudley Rd is to the rear of the bus, then, shouldn't the library be on the right? or am I not understanding the written description, John.
I notice there is a bus shelter on the right so it is on a bus route ... somewhere!Does anyone think this bus could be off route, say for a diversion
