Lichfield Road Aston

My Grandad Thomas Paine had a Gentleman's Outfitters Shop on Lichfield Road Aston not far from the Station . He also worked for a pawn brokers in Aston and later as a clerk at GEC Witton

An article in the Evening Despatch on 18th August 1939 gives the location of the fire as on the corner of Waterworks Street and Lichfield Road and names the occupier of the premises as Mr B J Banning.
There was a tyre company still owned by a descendant of the Banning Family on Lichfield Road Aston up until 2018.
