  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Requesting help for another Grandad's WW1 records.

Urban Jerome Pope, private 39498 Leics regiment.At some point he served in Egypt and Jerusalem. This is all I know about his war service. I would be very grateful for any further information please....Thank you, Florence:)

Coming ing with NO matches on Ancestry UK in military records. Can only find him on National Archives Medal Index Roll but you have to pay £3.50p to view it or download it. I see he was born in 1885.

In the Birmingham Electoral Rolls he was living at 3 Yew Tree Road, Aston in 1912 and the 1918 Absent Voters List at 88 Tenby Road, Sparkhill
