Key Hill Cemetery Memorial Inscriptions

Anita,
WL K 34 was originally open December 1912 to June 1913. Only a few of those interred had enough spare cash to afford an Inscription.
Here they all are trancribed by a forum member NogBush. None of the later Birmingham City interments were offered the choice of an Inscription.

Hi Wendy
I have some burials in Warstone Lane and wonder if I give you the info from FMP whether there is more to be gleaned from the registers. There is one burial for Key Hill too at the end. I am very grateful for you efforts many thanks.

Sorry Chris I have had a few personal problems of late you can check most information on Key Hill and Warstone Lane on this site now. I only have memorial inscriptions for Key Hill. Let me know if you need any more info. https://www.jqrg.org/

Hi Wendy, Is it possible you could look to see if there are any memorial inscriptions at Key Hill for Charles S. Birbeck died 6th May 1913 and his wife Emmal Ellen Sarah Birbeck died 24th June 1937. Many thanks for all your help.

Hi Jules there is a memorial inscription for your Birbecks. Go to the link Wendy has given in the post above https://www.jqrg.org and click on free memorial database then enter Birbeck in the search box and click on submit - the inscription and grave number will come up section R 256 - which is not too far away from my 2 family graves.

Thank you so much for your help. I have now found my great grand parents graves. Will have to plan a visit soon. I have never been to Key Hill but I have also found some other ancestors whose graves are there also.

That's a great result! I will have a look through my photos - I may have a photo that shows your Grave in section R.
Key hill is a lovely cemetery - I love going there - but I always think it's best not to go there alone.

Thanks for your help pollypops. I will take your advice and not go alone - not sure when I will be able to get over that way but when I do I will be sure to take some photo's myself.

Dear Wendy,

I've just come across this thread, and would be really grateful if you could tell me what the full inscription is for the gravestone of Constance Naden, buried at Key Hill.

Many thanks,
Clare

My apologies, I hadn't seen this. What a brilliant resource the JQRT website is! Many thanks for directing me to it.

Best,
Clare

Looks like I might be too late as the link https://www.jqrg.org appears to be dead. I live down in Devon and thought about visiting to photograph the plaque for the Hasluck family vault. I am currently researching the family line and my research has taken me far and wide. From what I have read there seems to be a risk visiting Key Hill Cemetery on your own!
