Some of the images in this thread showing the building prior to recent demolition have been lost. The one surviving shows an impressive facade. Could anyone tell me please whether this was a post-war structure.
I'm interested in this because I have always assumed that the prewar building was totally destroyed in the blitz. This was my interpretation of an image which I published in this web page: https://www.staffshomeguard.co.uk/DotherReminiscences60ABhamFightingSchool.htm. Please see the panoramic picture towards the bottom of the page. I'd really like to know whether the stated orientation of the view (achieved with a lot of sweat!) is open to any doubt.
