proper brummie kid
I am desparately trying to find information regarding JOHN NICHOLLS born in Aston c1811.

He married ELIZABETH HEATON of the Birmingham Mint family. I have plenty of information about Elizabeth (my g.g.grandmother) but cannot find anything about John Nicholls.

Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks

Welcome Beth & a tricky one

Hello & Welcome Beth :) mmh! Bit of a tricky one that eh!

Do you have further details of John Nicholls born circa 1811 Aston,
His marriage cert with Elizabeth Heaton perhaps?

1811 to 1837 a difficult "traceability" period, John,s occupation &
Working/Lodging with Owner of "Trade Occupation" via Wrightson &
Kelly directories would be a way to investigate,
Other avenues are Parish Records & Library (B,ham Central)
Earliest Kelly,s on here is 1868 but not sure of Wrightson,s

Bit more info needed or i think you need a visit to Library (above)
Best regards John Y

No chance of marriage certificate as marriage before 1837.
Parish records would help.
Elizabeth Heaton married John Nicholls
10th July 1831 Edgbaston

John Nicholls

Thanks for your input. I have had an email from Lichfield Records Office. They looked at the Banns for John Nicholls and Elizabeth Heaton and it shows that they were "both of this Parish " (Edgbaston) and the witnesses were Elizabeth Nicholls and Benjamin Nicholls.

Cant find any record to help any further ! Ideas anybody ??

Cant get to birmingham - dont drive and its too far away to commute !
