Did anyone watch Channel 4 last night with Jamelia going back to her roots. I knew she was from Birmingham but never knew it was Hockley. I found it interesting, well she was from Brum, and was brought up in Hingestion Street, but it was different Hingeston Street to what I remember. My mom and Dad in the late 30s lived there when they first got married, but then it was entrys and courtyards. It showed a different light how she really did well whereas her brothers didnt and said she thought it was due to them not having a father figure in their life.
 
Was she not going out with a football player with Walsall at one time, Darren Byfield i believe ,and that is the only reason i`ve heard about her
 
According to the programme she was married to him, so I presume her 2 children were his. I didnt realise how popular on the music scene she was until you heard talk about the people she met, knew and sang with.
