Hi
John, Caroline and Mary Ann Rogers were siblings.
I have the details of Caroline Rogers to Joseph Downing in 1845 at St. Martins and one of the witnesses is Mary Ann ROGERS, Caroline's sister and Mary Ann signed her name.
I have the marriage certificate for John Rogers to Martha Appleby 26 Dec 1859 at St. Phillips. One of the witnesses is I believe John's sister, Mary Ann STEAD and she signed her name.
Now what I would like to prove is: Is Mary Ann STEAD the Mary Ann ROGERS, now married? (Although I can find no marriage).
I wonder if someone could look at the St. Martins marriage of Caroline Rogers and Joseph Downing and compare the handwriting of Mary Ann STEAD (attached) to the handwriting of Mary Ann ROGERS at their wedding?View attachment 70029Many thanks. Hope I haven't made this too confusing
