  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

I am looking for info of my grandfather Patrick Stokes who was finally pensioned off in Birmingham on c1926/8 after serving in Ireland. Does anyone know of any records and where they are please?

You can tell I'm a beginner having just discovered this wonderful site of all things Birmingham! Born there but left in 1962 for the sunny south but my heart is still thee1 Thank you for your info which sets me on a trail into the past!
