I have spent numerous painting holidays abroad and my favourite place was the Dordogne in France at a village called Saint Leger, the attached painting was painted on the spot and given to a French man named Patrick (?) who liked it and invited me to dinner with himself and Wife, gave me a chance to practice my limited French, although they spoke good English, this was 1987 I had recently started photographing my paintings so I would have a visual record as well as a written one.
