master brummie
I have not been through aston for a few years now.
Holborn waste was situated on Litchfield Road a
couple of doors away from The Swanpool Tavern.
are they still there ? or did they locate elsewhere ?
if so where ? Ragga :)

WOW........ Its still there...... im surprized:great:
I would have thought it may have moved to bigger
premises especially in this day and age ,
I did work there for a short period back in 1971
I remember 2 Brothers ran the company,
one of the Brothers was named Arnold ,
I cannot remember the other ones name.
ragga:)

I tipped there the other day, arnold is still there but his son mainly runs it now ....its mainly a waste transfer station..i used to work next door at t.price in the 70's and arnold used to box and run marathons

I believe Holborn waste is still there. My dad used to work there before it became holborn waste. I believe it was known as williams's. This was in the mid 60's to the mid 70's. I would love to know how the swanpool got it's name.
