Hockley Chamberlain Clock

Ian FOFB

Brummie yes ! Novice no !
The 'then' pictures are taken from old postcards, the 'now' pictures taken from Google Streetview.
The older of the pictures is thought to date from 1905.

Ian.

brilliant ian...i love the old pic which is new to me...most important as it shows the buildings on the right which are no longer there...flattened to make way for shops and the big peg building...thank for posting it...

Great photo's Ian. As Lyn says it's nice to see the old buildings. I only commented while going round the island on Tuesday how busy it was the place is buzzing at the moment. I have a book somewhere of when they refurbished the clock, must look it out.
