Heneage Street Baptist Chapel

I assume you know that George re-married in 1839 to a Louisa Perry. His father is listed as a Thomas and hers as Lyttleton Perry, a clergyman.

Mentioned in the Worcester Chronicle.

George and Louisa are living in Sheffield (Brightside Bierlow) in 1861 with Louisa's mother. His birthplace is also listed as Sheffield

Which George? I assume you mean the one married to Ann? I knew this would get complicated.

For a moment I thought I had lost the plot.
As Aldyth said - it can be difficult when the samename is used generation after generation. However, you have already linked the family to Yorkshire.

There are obituaries in newspapers for Ann (1838), George (1863) and Louisa (1874).

George and Louisa are both buried in Sheffield General Cemetery.

George appears to have left a Will that may be interesting. The probate record seems to say that parts of it wasn't passed until 1876 and 1896.

The link to the images

I was unable to open any of the links to images of the Chapel. Please will someone post an up-to-date link. (PS. I am in the USA so I am not sure if the link is just blocked.)
Hello Aldyth, welcome to the Furum. Great place and great people! I am in the US and the links work for me. The only ones that do not (sometimes) are broadcasts then some of the members help me get through!
Enjoy!

I am very appreciative of all the information and links! Thank you so much. It is remarkable how quickly you found the links! I will definitely refer back to the library link to see if the error gets fix.

Glad to help if we can.
For some reason the library seems to have stopped showing the pictures in that collection. I am not sure why.

Not sure why it’s not showing for you Janice, but I somehow managed to get the photos up! This is Heneage Street Chapel from the link Astoness gave. Viv.

And an interior view from the same link. The precise dates of the chapel photos are not given, just between 1890s-1910s quoted. Viv.

There’s also a diary of one of the chapel members and lay preachers, but you’d have to visit the LofBham to view. Viv.
