James Mason, Coal Merchant directory listing info

fairport

knowlegable brummie
Can anyone help confirm whether there is a directory listing for my grandfather, a James Mason, running a Coal Merchant business from a yard in Winson Green Road in Brum, post 1939'ish if the Brum Electoral Registers are accurate.

James Mason was listed as living in Montpelier Street in 1930 and Percy Road, Sparkhill/Greet in 1939, with his wife Ethel Ann Mason (nee Neal), but he soon after left her for another lady.... at which point I've lost track of him. He had been a fruit trader before taking on a position at The Prince Of Wales public house, then apparently moving in to the above mentioned coal round.

If the business is listed it may just give his address details, allowing me to pick up his trail again. Fingers crossed!

Kindest regards,

Fairport
