Help Needed please - 4 Court, Dymoke Street, Aston, Deritend

Manasseh

proper brummie kid
My grt grandmothers birth certificate states 4 Court, Dymoke Street, Aston, Deritend, however on the 1911 Census it states 4 Court Stanhope Street. Is this one of the same address? Does anyone know how I can obtain a photo? Any help would be appreciated.

I di wonder whether court 4 in either dymoke or stanhope St also had an entrance in the other street, but this would be impossible, as can be seen from th emap (court 4 dymoke St in red, court 4 stanhope st in blue). therefore they must be different addresses

Yeah, I can see what you mean. Perhaps they lived at both address, or either one and whoever was writing the census got it wrong. maybe a mystery I will never find out. Thanks Mike. By the way, thanks for the map. Do you have any other pics?

Not particularly, I'm more into buildings & history. There are real experts on the forum though

Your Gran may have been born in the one Street, but the family may have moved to the other before the cencus was taken. There are a couple of photo's on this forum of Dymoke St (Put the word Dymoke into the search box top of the page and a number of post will come up about the streets in the area). I lived in Dymoke St in the 1950's.

thanks. I agree with you Pomgolian. Without being rude, how old would of you been when you lived there?
