  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

My dad used to play tennis on the courts. He also used to collect tennis balls for pocket money. Don't know if he was paid by the parkies or he had his own little enterprise going. This would have been in the late 1920s. Have a photo of him playing tennis there, shall dig it out.

Played tennis once there on a clay court, I believe 2/- for an hour. Big money in those days circa 1960. PS I did however pick up a few tennis balls out of the shrubery!
