HANDS in Aston, Handsworth, Ladywood and ???

Wouldn't she be Joseph's younger sister? There's a baptism for a Sarah (and a Caroline) Hands in Bromsgrove, 26 Mar 1823 daughter of William and Ann.

How old was William Hands and when did he marry Ann Philpot? Was he a cordwainer?

There's a marriage for an Absalom Hands (possibly Joseph's brother, living in Steward St 1841) at St Thomas, Bham on 28 May 1837 which might be late enough to corroborate with the occupation.
