Ha ha, Bazz, there's about 200 miles of sea between us and Hydra, and I've no idea when Crete first got electricity, though I have photographs taken here in 1930 and there are street lamps, and the only gas on Crete is the bottled variety. So I assume it was before 1930. I don't know when telephones first arrived, but in 1990 personal computers were non-existent here. All of a sudden around 1993 everyone had PCs and the shops were beginning to get point-of-sale tills. Nice interesting story though, Cheers.
