:D Hope you like this one! I did. Sent to me by a friend, by e-mail 8)

Dear Lord .

Every single evening
As I'm lying here in bed
This tiny little prayer
Keeps running through my head.

God bless all my family
Wherever they may be,
Keep them warm and safe from harm
For they're so close to me.

And please God, there is one more thing
I wish that you could do.
Hope you don't mind me asking,
Bless my computer too.

Now I know that it's not normal
To bless a mother board,
But listen just a second
While I explain to you 'Dear Lord.'

You see, that little metal box
Holds more than odds & ends
Inside those small compartments
Rest so many of my FRIENDS.

I know so much about them
By the kindness that they give
And this little scrap of metal
Takes me in to where they live.

By faith is how I know them
Much the same as you
We share in what life brings us
And from that our friendship grew.

Please, take an extra minute
From your duties up above
To bless those in my address book
That's filled with so much love!

Wherever else this prayer may reach
To each and every friend,
Bless each e-mail Inbox
And the person who hits "Send."

When you update your heavenly list
On your CD-ROM
Remember all who've said this prayer
Sent up to God.com.

Amen. God Bless you all.

Isn't it strange? We hear and read so much about the dangers of the internet, and yet it does hold so much to some of us, especially as we get older. I also add my prayer to God to look after my computer. Not only does it mean I can keep my eye on what you lot are doing, but as you say, I regard you as my friends even though I don't know any of you. Also my computer contains all my old rellies, nearly all from Aston Erdington Yardley etc.On looking back, there's always been one of mine in the West Midlands somewhere. Where would all my pictures disappear to? All my memories that are posted on this site to remind me of the days gone by. Love you lots, so please add my amen to your prayer too

Lynda said it all so very well. I too have so much invested in my computer - poems, stories, letters, communications from friends, pictures - too much to list.
