  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

I went there with my husband this week, and found it far more extensive than I'd imagined, with masses of exhibits.
The volunteers are very knowledgeable and friendly, and spent a lot of time with us, helping us to make nibs (mine wasn't very good!).
Has it always been where it is now? I have a very faint memory of something a bit like it at the Science Museum, though I can't remember where that used to be. This would have been in the 1960s.
 
Yes, the Pen Room is a smashing little independent museum. The collection you remember was in the science museum, it was a vast array of nibs, pen and other writing objects. Funny to think that we had a pen quarter too.

It wasn't a false memory, then! The collection at the Pen Room is huge.
