File conversion - change default programs in Windows 8

Can someone please help as when I open my jpg files they are coming up as word conversion which shows just gobblededook. How can I get my picture files showing correctly. Thanks for any help.

You need to go into Control Panel and change the default program for opening JPEGs.

Good question - I will take a look. I have W8 but have control panel pinned so I can find it. Be back soon if not beaten to it.
