Explanation to A Kiss For Jack

Twenty-two look ups and no comments
Oh dear what have I done or not done?
I tried to outsmart myself.
Sorry

A Kiss For Jack is to do with Lawn Bowls.
The conserved energy is that of the boilers arm
transferred to the wood, which gives it potential energy.
All woods are marked with some sort of colored ring for identification.
The wood is slowed by gravity and friction.
Slowly it rolls towards the Jack, stops when all energy is spent,
but then leans towards the Jack and gives it the winning kiss.

The poem can also be likened to a prisoner, who is released on
probation. Marked with that of prison sentence he absconds.
He tries to make his escape by going across the wasteland.
He uses all of the energy that he has, but finally has to give in.
Rather than go back to gaol he falls to the ground
and kisses death.

Well I tried.
