  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

I had to change the email send out system for now to gmail.

This is until I can solve a few bugs in the server.

you shouldn't notice any difference apart from emails are not from @birminghamhistory.co.uk anymore.
 
just checked and i am receiving the gmail thread alerts ok...mind you i have never had a problem with the alerts from day one
 
Yeah me either but I checked the logs and some are being bounced annoyingly
 
i am receiving thread alerts to my other email address as well which has not happened before so i guess its to do with the changes you have made

I have just had some emails come in for replies to threads: one from last January!! + one from Lyn dated May.
