  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

HELLO POP PICKERS....i need some info on ELLEN RAY died 1931 my gt gran....Ray is her maiden name as she married my gt grandad george william field....thanks

well thats great info .....I didnt know that .....i think her moms age is wrong though....24 ....meaning she would have been 8 when she gave birth to Ellen......it was prob 42 not 24... chhers for getting me this ....ill print it all off. x
 
On the 1901 census EMMA 36 is I presume the wife of George Field. Note not Ellen.

1881 Census William Ray aged 49 - Caroline aged 24 - I presume she is his second wife, the children Ellen 16, Alfred 13 and Henry 11 could be the children of his first marriage.
 
There is a transcription error on 1881 cencus for Caroline Ray. It should read 54. She was born 1828 Birmingham according to the 1871 cencus.
