I wanted to make a donation. I seem to remember it being really easy last time. You seem to have changed the process. I do not use Paypal and do not understand the "Pay in to any bank..."
Last time I used my debit card to pay into the site.

Found the button today so managed to make a donation. I was looking in the wrong place. found it on my conversations page.

Same with me, will be in touch with my bank or mail a check which I almost never do anymore.

I recently made a purchase from Brook Taverner (mens outfitters), now every time I log in their advert appears across the screen. Could you tell me that when I click on it does the forum receive payment. If so I will click on here rather than their email.

I'm a little confused I'm trying to make a donation but don't use PayPal or want to send a cheque.

I haven’t learnt how to donate on line, sorry it’s late. Sent in the post.
Jackie, I sent mine by mail. From the US I don’t use PayPal, I do everything through my bank, no fees etc. I am not set up for international transfers unless the receiver has a wire code.
As my Grandmother would say its the thought! It will get there!

We are more than half way through the year and last year decided I would donate twice a year. My second check will be in tomorrows mail(post).
And thank you for a wonderful Forum with super folks!
many thanks richard...this is our 3rd year without being able to hold our twice a year forum meets ups which generates a large portion of forum funds so i would imagine that the funds are pretty low now so every penny counts to keep the forum running...

thanks again

Perhaps I am missing it but it would be nice if there was an easily found section 'About This Forum', the 'who, what, why', so people could know what they might be donating to and why.

Are we being asked to fund an individual, an informal grouping, a charity or a business? Is there a continuity plan, particulary important if the forum is run by one of the first two alternatives? Someone is paying money for web space and domain name, stop paying and the forum and content ceases to exist, the web doesn't remember for ever.

While I am sure all users of this forum appreciate what goes on in the background to make things work I am sure am not the only one who would like to know more about how it all functions.

Donations are just that voluntary donations voluntarily given to help keep the site afloat.

NOBODY gets paid and NOBODY is forced to donate and never will be.

The site's content is now approaching nearly 250GB with well over 1TB of bandwidth used per month I won't go into more specifics than that but suffice to say if you are not comfortable in donating then please don't.

The site will be around for however long it is around for much like us all I guess.

That being said I hope you enjoy using the site and it gives you many hours of enjoyment conversing with like minded people.
