Curiousities of Great Britain: England and Wales Delineated Vol. 1, by Thomas Dugdale is now available from Gutenberg at https://www.gutenberg.org/files/37519/37519-h/37519-h.htm This volume doesn't cover Birmingham, as it just gets to Bicester. The plates are a little small, and the enlarge facility on the maps gives a rather blurred image, but it is an interesting volume

Thanks for posting Mike. Just spent a leisurely hour browsing the volume. Some very nice drawings in there and an interesting collection of accounts of the various places. I thought some of the accounts of the places were quite amusing in the choice of antiquities/curiosities that were singled out for comment! Viv.
