Coronation Place?

David Weaver

gone but not forgotten
My dad used to carry bags of coal down Coronation Place in Aston. He reckoned it was so long he used to meet 'iself cumin back'. Anyone remember it?

Re: David Weaver Australia.

Hi Derek

Gladstone Street was still in my Street Guide about 1960s off Lichfield Road Aston.

Coronation Place no, but there is a mention of a First WW Soldier born there. Who sadly died in the conflict

But I'm sure someone will recall it

Re: David Weaver Australia.

David.

My 1938 index makes no mention of Coronation Place either. There was at that time - possibly still may be, I don't know, but it's not in the current A-Z - a CORPORATION Place at a point betwen the end of Corporation Street and the beginning of New Corporation St. The latter two are certainly a long stretch.
