My Great Uncle Harry Colston Carter was born in Inkerman Street in 1900 and later lived in Bissell Street Digbeth. He was a cinema pianists in the 1920s, later emigrating to Australia in 1929. Does anyone know which cinemas he may have played in Birmingham? Or if there is a record of cinema pianists which is held anywhere?
