  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Churches Near Lord Street Aston 1914

Can anyone please advise on what churches for baptism's was near lord street and frankford street in Aston in 1914 I need names please and also nearest schools to theses roads

cant say as ive heard of a frankford st in aston...but frankfort st yes which is off summer lane

If it is Frankfort St then St Matthias' was on the corner of Farm St and Wheeler St I think. That's Great Russell St end. St Stephen's was a bit further away near the other end on the corner of St Stephen's St and New Town Row. On the 1915 map there are schools listed next to each church as well as one on Cowper St and Hospital St.
 
And if it's Lord St in Duddeston then the closest church would have been St Laurence's on the corner of Love Lane and Dartmouth St. There's an infant school listed on Dartmouth St and a school on Lupin St.
