Carrs Lane 1914-1918

I have been asked to research a Sparkhill chap who was a conscientious objector in WW1.

This man attended Carrs Lane Church and I am trying to determine the implications of this in terms of his specific religion or alliances ... could he have been a Christadelphian or one of the Plymouth Brethren? Again, any ideas or info very welcome.

Carrs Lane was founded as a Congregational (sometimes known as a Independent) Church. It is now a United Reformed Church, after union with the Presbyterian Church of England. It has no connection with the Christadelphians or Plymouth Brethren.

For further comment see my reply on the Conscientious Objectors WW1 thread.
