  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Canals and Streetview

Looking at google it does not seem to be the only one. you can go out on th eworcs & Birm. canal as far as Cotteridge Park, with a few little gaps. Some seem to be because they met people. The najority of th eroute can be seen
 
I think this a development by Google maps of a camera (usually mounted on their cars) in a backpack so they can access paths etc. not accessible by car. I think it is their intention to cover byways, pathways and cliff paths etc. in the future.
 
This is a nice little walk down to the Mailbox. As an ex-pat, seeing previously (Internet) inaccessible parts of Brum is, for me, quite a revelation ! Viv.
