Hello,

I’m working on my family tree and on some old census they are listed as living with many others, at an address listed as Perry’s Lake. No house numbers and google maps doesn’t show anything. I know it was somewhere around Rowley but other than that I don’t know.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Below is a map c1904 showing Perry's Lake. Looking at Google, it would seem that the site is on the north west side of Rowley Heath Golf course, though is all now new buildings

Thank you all for your help. The top map shows a road called Portway. However it looks closer to the junction than on google maps. Is that road Portway hill with Four ways tavern at the bottom? Or was there another road down the hill which is no longer there?

This forum is a gold mine of information!

Thanks again
