John Edward Newton was in the Staffordshire regiment in world war 11 and he was in the Burma Campaign, we are not sure whether it was on his way to Burma or on the way back at the end of the campaign there was a accident at sea and he was a witness to soldiers who drowned, there was a court case in Birmingham in the 1950's not sure when for a compensation claim for the wife who's husband had died all we know about the lady is she was living Folyatt Road in Yardley we have been in touch with Staffordshire Regiment, the Libray in Birmingham to name a few with know leads.
If anybody has any ideas where i could go from here i would be very grateful.
