This must have originally been built as the Bournbrook Hotel judging by the Holt’s Brewery ghost sign across the front of the pub. Surprprised to see such a large pub still standing and still operating as such. Viv.

It was still the Brournbrook Hotel in the 1960s & 70s, before the disease of name-changing infected pubs

Had some great nights in there in the '70s. It has survived so long because of the Student population in and around Selly Oak. It's about a five minute walk from the University.
