Can I suggest a really excellent book for all those of you who might have more than a passing interest in the railways of yesteryear ? It is called STEAMING INTO BIRMINGHAM AND THE WEST MIDLANDS by Richard Coleman and John Rajczonek. It is absolutely great and has tons of really good photos of both New St and Snow Hill stations - I can't recommend it highly enough

I would echo that, truly wonderful book as are all the works published
by these particular gentlemen..

Ive got it too ........ great book .........:) I recommend too
My book was signed by John Rajczonek .
