Blue Coat School

Looking for any information on a Blue Coat School near Icknield Street/Warstone lane.
My 3G Grand Father Isaac Homer was involved with this school in the 1840's.
There was a news paper write up in 1845 that mentions my 3G Grand Father,
Can anyone help with any info, thanks :fat:
 
The only Blue Coat School I knew was by St Phillips Churchyard and then in Harborne. I have never heard of one by Icknield Street/Warstone Lane

I guess you have been looking at the British newspaper archives, but do not have a subscription. The short pieces you see without a subscription may include a number of different unrelated items. The piece you mention is in a block of text headed by a report from the Blue coat school. However the item you mention is after that and is given below.
