Ever found anything of interest at a car boot ?.
I found these two at a local boot a few years ago, don't know anything about the chain fixture, assume it was part of amasonic chain.
Haven't been able to find anything about the association either, solid silver and gold plate, often wonder what they were doing down here.28-10-14 005.JPG28-10-14 004.jpg28-10-14 002.JPG

An interesting find, I am assuming that the first one must have been a trade guild association. There are a few of these guilds still around today, but I have not heard of this one. I do vaguely recall an old chap who was a painter and decorator showing me his membership certificate of a painters guild association, but don't recall if it was Birmingham.

I am sure that some of the other members here will be able to help.

well i only know that the forward logo and the hammer are from birmingham john...nice finds...

The painters association is listed in a supplement to the London Gazette dated 3 April 1936. Have just found the lsit so I am not sure why they are on it.
