I spoted this in one of my magazines it may be of interest to someone please remember a bus is for life not for Cristmass

1954 B.C.T. MOF102 Guy Arab IV Metro-Cammell bus for sale £5.500 contact Bob 01215543291

it would be a shame if this bus was to go to the scrap man and not stay in preservation

There is a strong possibility this vehicle will be purchased by a group consisting of an owner of another BCT vehicle

I do hope so one of the problems with many of the buses that were preserved in the 1960,s and 1970,s a few were one man bands in the only one person owned a bus, they are are now falling off there twigs and any family relations (if any) will not or can not keep a bus, the same goes for any bus kept by a group the members will now be getting on,

so what is the future of a number of the buses that have a Midlands conection unless buyers step in and buy them it is possible that they will go for scrap, a bus/vehicle of interest is only worth what someone will pay for the bus.

Was it built by Metro Cammell Weyman not just Metro Cammell which was the train building side where i worked for 27 years

Hi guys,

On a visit to the annual Trans-Lancs Bus Rally at Heaton Park in Manchester today, I discovered that ex-Birmingham City Transport Guy Arab IV No 3102 MOF 102 was one of the exhibits on display during the course of this event. The vehicle is now a resident in the North West, and is owned by K & R Walsh Brothers of Manchester. They are specialists in the field of vehicle renovation. More details of the vehicle's new owners can be found on their website by clicking the link below:

I have attached 5 images of the vehicle at the event below this message for you to view, and the changes both externally and internally are quite dramatic compared to how it was under its previous owner. The basic livery remains the same with the exception of the roof which has changed from Coffee Brown to Navy Blue, and the wheels are now painted in White.

Enjoy your viewing...

Regards
Degsy
