I can’t find a thread about this Street, but do let me know if anyone knows of one.
Here we have a merchant tailor in the street in the 1880s, having been there since the 1850s. There’s very little in Aston Street these days to give any clues to its early 1800s history. Viv.
My great great uncle Joseph Longmore was a hairdresser at number 62 from the late 1860s to the early 1890s. Previously he'd been at 22 Prospect Row, and ended up at 233 Lichfield Road as his last prenises. Unfortunately I have yet to find any good photographs either amongst family here or with his daughter's descendants in New Zealand.
