:D Aotearoa (New Zealand)

First there was Te Po the darkness.
Then Papatuanuku the earth and Ranginui the sky
Their children Tanemahuta of the forest,
Tawhirimatea of wind & storms,
Rongomatane of food grown for man,
Tangaroa and Kiwa of the sea,.‚..
Ruaumoko of earthquakes,
Tumatauenga of war,
And these children of.‚.. Papatuanuku and Ranginui they numbered, many, many more.
To get from the darkness and into the light the children had to separate
Their parents, who put up a fight.
The blood that was spilt while this task was in plight formed the sacred red earth kokowaito what a beautiful sight
This legend tells us of the birth, of the Aotearoa nation.
Handed down to all by Maori karakia, from generation, to generation.

The seas they are blue, the hills they are green.
The magnificent mountains, a sight to be seen.
The fresh water lakes and the cool clear streams.
From the beach of black sand, to the fiords so deep.
To the grass covered hillsides, all crowded with sheep.
From Bluff, up to Queenstown, to Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and on to The Cape, you could travel the world and not see such a perfect landscape.
European and Maori fight to take control of this land, but far greater forces are at work, than neither race understands.
This land will be here long after their gone, the wind and the rain and even the sun.
For thousands of years it has stood strong proud Aotearoa .‚.‘The Land of The Long White Cloud.‚.’.
