  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

My grandmother and two of her children, the photo was taken in Abingdon Rd Perry Common. It is maybe early 20's because the pavement doesn't seem to have been laid. Times were hard then - they could not afford to look after all their children, and my dad aged 10 had to be put in Shenley Fields Children's Home. He used to talk about his times there -wished I'd listened more to his stories about that, but as a teenager you don't, and then it's too late.
