A Cottage Small

It wins my admiration to see an old cottage small,
Nestled beside the hillside where grows Bracken
And Gorse fenced by picket and dry stoned wall.
Summer is perfect now when the morn drips with
Natures rain. The Meadow sweet and Honeysuckle
Give out sweet scents, and mild breeze plays with
Rambling Rose over branched bower trained. And
On the garden walls the yellow plum ooze and heave
As if in fun, as Bees play in dizzy flight and glow as
Bronze and orange light against the dappled morning
Sun. While birds do air in joyous lay in bird song know
To them, and leaves of every tree around will caress
With love all the faces of men.
