wrong trade

no trace prior 1903 found him at 35 Vauxhall street Kelly's 1905 1908 and 1913 gives you more meat on the bone.
a thought some beer retailers run more than one business from their abode so he could have sold newspapers from the same premises
I have run out of Kelly's for now there is a list of all the directories we have on the forum if you need any information from the ones we have just let us know

beer Retailer/Newsagent

thank you

l have just checked the death cert again just in case l miss read it and the writing is very clear ..... Arthur Alfred Tomlinson Newsagent. l do agree with you John that it is poss that there could be one or two businesses ran from that premises. But beer retailer would fit in with the rest of the family being yeoman farmers their wills and so forth indicate hops, and beer making premises. On the 1901 cen he is a 'barman' living with his new wife Maud Turner in Victoria Street. then you have so kindly found him in Vauxhall street. 1915 green lane, 1950 dartmouth street, My Tomlinsons are well known for their moving abilites not just streets, world wide.

l need to find Arthurs death cert.

His Son G or S tomlinson was living in 55, Grt Hampton Row in 1954 when maud his mom died. l wonder what his occupation was.

As you can see l only have snippits, l have not a lot on this family hence the trip to library next week but you have given me a head start.

thank you and everyone for your help.;)

Regards Margaret:)
