1851 lookup for Thomas Hipkiss (c1827-1830) and Martha (c1830) in Birmingham

Thomas and Martha Hipkiss had a child in 1852 - not even sure if they were married in 1851 but would like to know if they were living together at the time or had any other children.

They were incorrectly transcribed as 'Hipkins' in the 1861 census.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for your help, but I don't think this is the right Thomas Hipkiss - there were the two Thomas Hipkiss born at a similar age which makes it confusing.

In 1851, he would have been 21-24yrs, and a pearl button maker in Birmingham.

1861 census: Thomas Hipkiss was living at back of 62, Hospital st Birmingham (the name was incorrectly transcribed from the census as Hipkins).

Thomas Hipkiss, b1830, pearl button maker

Martha Hipkiss b1830, born Kings Sutton Staffordshire, pearl button finisher

Thomas Hipkiss b1852, pearl button finisher

Charles Hipkiss b1855,

Emiley Hipkiss b1861 (perhaps transcribed incorrectly: Free BMD and later census say Emma Hipkiss)

1841 census: Thomas Hipkiss, aged 14, in Birmingham was a Pearl Button Maker Apprentice. He was living with the Williams family at 2 Brearley St Birmingham:

John Williams, 25, Pearl Button Maker, born Warwickshire

Mary Williams, 30

John Williams, 13, Pearl Button Maker, born Warwickshire

Sarah Williams, 9

Thomas Hipkiss, 14, Pearl Button Maker Appren, born Warwickshire

Richard Hipkiss, 6, born Warwickshire

Hannah Hipkiss, 2, born Warwickshire
