13 Court Water Street

Wondered if anyone has a map showing 13 Court Water St (off Livery St) in the late1800s? My maternal grandfather was born there in 1891.

Thanks in advance.

Afraid i can't help. Can find no listing of any court above court 8. Water st c1890 is on the map (not including the far end bit near bit part the railway line). The courts are numbered on the north west of the st from the eastern end and go down consecutively. Court 8, behing the White Swan is in blue. At a guess it was probably on the same side close to the junction with Ludgate hill, but it is a guess. Is your grandfather on hte 1881 census in the court. If so I should be able to work out from that where it is

Thanks for the info Mike, but my Grandfather wasn't born until 1891. His mother lived on a farm in Handsworth and wasn't married so I imagine the address would have been a midwife or something similar.
