  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

    Smethwick

    You can take a boy out of Smethwick, but you can't take Smethwick (Smerrick) out of the boy, they say. That's me. Smethwick was never quite Birmingham, but fixed firmly between Brum and the Black Country. Only one vote among councillors prevented Smethwick being part of the City of Birmingham...

    Gower Street Boys and Girls Schools

    I don't know the exact details of the school - but it has written on the back 'Gower Street Standard VI 1918'. My great-uncle is on the middle row, 2nd from right.

    Vauxhall gardens infants and junior school

    Hi just wondering if anybody remembers this school ever the main building or the annex. Ive just been on friends reunited and found some pictures but waiting to recieve them. if any one remembers this school or has piccies it would be great.
