  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

    Does anyone know how I could find the Commercial Artists trade union member lists from about 1930 to 1940 for the name Wicks. I know that Leonard Wicks and later Maurice Joseph Wicks were both definately on the lists. Leonard was a Litho Artist in 1930 in Kalamazoo, and I would love to learn...

    ARP warden Albert 'Bertie' Russell Coventry Cathedral bombing

    My Gramp Bertie Russell (Albert Edward) born in Redditch, lived in Formans rd Sparkhill, was an ARP warden the night coventry cathedral got bombed. Apparantly he returned home saying he was lucky to be alive. Does anyone have any more information of that night, or indeed my lovely Gramps?
