  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

    Did anyone see Midlands Today ? They did a short piece on the new daytime drama currently being filmed on the streets of Brum. I was having a walk around Brum with Pete & Matt's Photo school on Sunday and they had converted the Bordesley Diner into a film set.

    No doubt I'm being a bit thick here but I'm trying to get my head around the old addresses. I know that a court had houses around it so if an address was the back of such and such court would that be the house that would be accessed through the court, the house at the front being on the Road ...

    Tilt Shift photography

    I've been playing around with Photoshop and noticed there is a tilt shift effect. This is often used on TV at the moment and makes scenes photographed from above look like models. Heres a quick one of brum. Click on the image to make it a bit bigger.

    I`ve just started tracing my family tree and 1st off what a great site this is ! My Great x3 Grandfather was Charles Keight who lived at No 5 (ct 1?) Claverdon St in 1861. According to current maps it no longer exists and would appear to be roughly where Bloomsbury Walk is now. I was wondering...
